Blueberries - interesting fruit

You may be surprised to learn that there are two different types of blueberries. Low-level bushes produce small, pea sized berries and can grow up 10centimeters (4 inches) high or less; these "low bush" varieties come from Canada's provinces like Nova Scotia where they're grown on sandy soil near maritime climates with cool summers tend corresponding cold winters . Highbush plants sport larger berry sizes than those found in association with this species--they're higher growth rate too!

The genus Vaccinium has a mostly circumpolar distribution, with species mainly present in North America and Asia. Many commercially available species have English common names including "blueberry" that come from this region; however there are also cultivated highbush blueberries which can be found throughout New Jersey (the first place they were grown) as well other parts of the United States like Pennsylvania or Massachusetts to name just few places where they're produced year after year by farmers who know how much flavor these little fruits pack!

The North American native species of blueberries are grown commercially in the Southern Hemisphere with Australia, New Zealand and South American nations being two major producer countries. The Colombian or Andean mountain region's Vaccinium meridionale is wild harvested and commonly available locally while several other shrubs produce eaten fruits including bilberries which have many names across languages that translate into "blueberry" such as English for instance where it becomes berrybyeir In addition to these cultivated plants there exist naturally occurring domes throughout nature filled primarily by euros but alsocca whose fruit has been shown consumed deliciously.

Canada is home to five species of blueberries, including Vaccinium myrtilloides which grow on forest floors or near swamps. Wild (lowbush) varieties are not planted by farmers but rather managed as "barrens".

Blueberries are a delicious, antioxidant-rich fruit that can be used in so many ways. They're sold fresh or processed as IQF fruits which you may then cook with to make sauces like jam and wine!

Blueberries may be cultivated or they could be picked from semiwild bushes. In North America, the most common species that people cultivate are Vaccinium corymbosum (the northern highbush blueberry). Hybrids of this with other Low- bush vaccini Winia low growing varieties to southern US climates us known collectively as Southern Highbush Blue Berries. The smaller "Wild" berries found in south eastern United States can have intense color.

The lowbush blueberry, V. angustifolium is a hardy little berry that can be found in the wild from Atlantic provinces westward to Quebec and southward down into Michigan. It's one of those plants where you'll find it on any piece terrain - fields or hillsides are their natural habitats! In some areas this species produces "barrens" which means there is only sparse cover for other vegetation apart from these berries we're talking about here; but don't worry because without humans around pruning every two years (or managing pests) our farmers would have no way at all get rid off such pesky insects as caterpillars before they makeforced an entire crop.

The world's production of blueberries rose 823,328 tonnes to reach 1.8 million kilos in 2019 - led largely by the United States and Canada with 38% each. Despite this increase though Canadian wild berry harvests declined since 2017 as they transition towards cultivating highbush varieties that are more profitable than those grown for their natural counterpart (lowbush). British Columbia is currently responsible for 93%* all HighBush Blueberry Crop productions from across Canadas total crop. While low bushes may still be found growing outside throughout most parts Ontario; Nova Scotia does.
